Out of all the horror remakes that have been released to the general public in the last 10 years, "Evil Dead" is one of the best! Its level of violence might not be for the squeamish but it will satisfy the most voracious gorehound, particularly those who want the gore combined with a good story and good scares.
And for fans of the original, watch for an after-credits coda featuring a "Groovy" character from the original.
