Review of Evil Dead (2013) by Thomas B — 20 Oct 2015
Most horror movie remakes are just complete trash, but here is a great example of remake done right. With its slight nods to Sam Raimi's horror classic, the film takes basic plot elements from the 1981 film, while still having lots of fresh ideas to keep audiences interested.
If you're a horror fan I would definitely recommend seeing it. The film could have done with a bit more character development, so we become a bit more emotionally invested with these characters, but overall I really enjoyed this movie.
