Review of Evil Dead (2013) by Luke E — 18 Oct 2013
Personally I found this to be a mixed bag of sorts. The effects are atmosphere are in top shape, with lighting, and set pieces being visually beautiful and haunting. While the effects are just nasty enough to make any gore hound happy.
The characters just seemed a little bland and forgettable, with a kind of missed first half. However when the film kicked off it became enjoyable thrill ride with parts that did make actually cringe. It's okay.
