Review of Evil Angels (1988) by Robyn M — 13 Mar 2013
This is an extremely-powerful based-on-a-true story film that can be infuriating to watch. A brutal hounding press can influence people perception, in this case an innocent Australian couple were charged with killing their baby..... Later to be exonerated through "Compassion" as the municipal court ruled 6 years after the fact.
I'm glad I walked into this film by chance and without any prior knowledge of what I was to expect... I vaguely remember the true events (I was Born in 1986) But regardless as a mother now your heart aches.... and the story in which is equally unique and comical also tears you to pieces. Evil Angels (A Cry in the Dark) should be re-evaluated over 30 years from the actual events it's worth watching. In the 3 decade span numerous accounts have suggested Dingo's to be no longer Docile and a risk with over 40 reported incidents with young children encountering the animal. 2 Accounts of death related incidents.
It's no longer unheard of or a laughing matter... great film!
