It's the sci-fi version of Peter Jackson's Dead Alive, plain and simple. No real plot or character development, but plenty of gore, sly pop culture references and twisted comedy. I have to admit that I enjoyed it, but after a while it became a little tiring and overdone (like Dead Alive.
.. to which there's a clever homage). Still, it's fun and fast paced. Worth watching at least once.
