Review of Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex *But Were Afraid to Ask (1972) by Dan C — 06 Jan 2009
Doesn't really work comedically, and stylistically it's a black sheep in Woody Allen's family of films; the credits aren't standard white-on-black, there are a lot more camera moves, dollyshots, close-ups, that sort of thing.
The way it's executed is by far the most interesting thing it has to offer. There are one or two segments that have vintage Allen humor, namely the giant tit. But there are many more segments that are so deadpan that they come off as creepy rather than amusing, namely the goat sodomy.
Just watch "Love and Death" instead.
