Review of Everything Must Go (2011) by Michael V — 24 Apr 2012
"If your looking for crazy, wild hilarious antics from Will Ferrell then this movie is not for you. Instead Ferrell gives a gentle, serious and best performance of his career as an alcoholic who has lost everything: job, wife, money & house.
Lives outside of his front lawn. CJ Wallace (the kid) gives an outstanding performance and the chemistry between him & Ferrell is great. Rebecca Hall (who is incredibly underrated actress) is wonderful as the pregnant neighbor.
Versatile Michael Pena gets in some good work here as well. This is a good movie but Will Ferrell's seriously good performance is the story of the movie. As a fan of Ferrell comedic work, he can act too hence his other serious role in Stranger Than Fiction.
