Review of Everything Must Go (2011) by Collin R — 07 Oct 2011
You definitely gotta be in the right mood for this one. I am not the biggest Will Ferrell fan, infact I dont find him funny in the slightest. Yet he does a perfect job in this serious (sort of) roll for this movie.
The movie oozes originality which is always a plus in my books, and the front yard almost takes upon a character of its own for this movie. I can see most people not liking this movie because its a Will Ferrell movie with some actual brains, but hey what you gonna do right? Basically things go to shit from the very beginning and keep getting worse for Nick, almost unbelievably worse lol.
He then develops an unexpected friendship with a younger kid. As Nick tries to get his life together before its completely gone he meets the beautiful Rebecca Hall who does a pretty good job in this movie to.
This movie reminds me of "the little movie that could" kind of feel to it. Its not big on story, budget or actors but its just a quality story that is portrayed by its cast perfectly.
