Will Ferrell shows his serious side here(not totally devoid of humor though) and it's not bad honestly. With a small but good, well-rounded cast, it's quite a nice change from the usual Ferrell movies I'm used to.
Although I think the film's major flaw was that the ending felt a bit contrived.
