Will Ferrell is widely known for his comedic talent. He has a way of making anything funny on screen. So putting him in a drama was an interesting idea due to his last drama, Stranger Than Fiction's upsetting box office. You're going to get some frustrated viewers but in the end, you'll know that they are ignorant little pricks.

Everything Must Go is a good movie. Even if it wasn't that funny, it still overcomes that by giving us something else, and that's a lot of heart. Will Ferrell has already set himself into the dramatic film world with the masterpiece, Stranger Than Fiction, and this one only lowers our doubts for the guy. He did a great job as the sympathetic main character. He was inspiring. He set out to do something and he did it. It's thought-provoking and it makes you think about your own life.

I know some people might go into this thinking it will be a bust-a-gut comedy, but I'm glad its not. I think that it strongly improves from its sentimentality and emotional depth. It gives you something to root for and look down upon. I'm not saying this is a masterpiece (unlike another Ferrell drama, STF), but its still an unresistable film that is equally charming and impactful.
