I watched "Everything Must Go" with Will Ferrel last night and I feel like I need to spoil it for you so you don't have to go through what I did. Calling this movie a Comedy is like calling the moon landing History.

I don't think there was a single funny part of this movie. Just because Will Ferrel teams up with a chubby black kid does not make a movie a Comedy. This movie was a Sad. No comedy, no romance, no drama, no suspense, no action, just 97 minutes of sad.

So here's plot summarized quickly. An alcoholic salesman loses his job and then comes home to find his wife has left him and moved all of his belongings to the front lawn. After living on his front lawn for a couple of days he decides to hire this neighborhood kid who hangs around to sell some of the stuff so he can get money for beer.

Along the way, he befriends the new neighbor across the street and you think things might start to be looking up. Then he's pretty much a total dick to her and scares her off just like everyone else.

Still not jokes at this point either. Eventually, Will and the kid decide they're going to commit to the yard sale and sell everything. By the end of the day he's sold pretty much everything and invites the girl across the street to dinner to smooth things over.

Things are slightly looking up for Will here, he hasn't had a drink in about a day but they make it seems like he's made some major leaps in his sobriety. After the dinner he goes to meet up with his only friend and AA sponsor and what does he find out? Oh, his wife is sleeping with this guy and wants a divorce, and that it's all his fault.

AND THEN THE MOVIE ENDS. LIKE THAT'S IT, THAT IS THE CONCLUSION TO THIS MOVIE. THERE IS NO RESOLUTION, NO HAPPY ENDING, NO SILVER LINING. JUST WILL. At the very end he starts playing some of his old records and I was pretty sure the last scene was going to be him hanging from the ceiling or killing himself in some 13 Reasons Why type scene.

That didn't happen but you certainly get that vibe and the movie just leaves you in a terrible mood. Ruin my whole night. Would not recommend to a friend.
