Review of Everything Is Illuminated (2005) by Tyrone H — 24 Jul 2009
A lovely, lovely film which really needs to get more of an airing. Well shot, beautifully paced, quirky and with proper heart. Everything missing from most studio movies these days. I sought this out becuse i'm a fan of Liev Schrieber and I was suprised to see him as director.
I hope he does this more than once although I suspect that this was probably a personal project. Dealing with the Ukranian experience during the second world war, in particular the jewish experience. A must watch.
