Review of Everything Is Illuminated (2005) by Edo V — 03 Aug 2009
Interesting movie, directed by actor Liev Schreiber. Jonathan (Elijah Wood) travels to the Ukraine to find the woman who helped his grandfather flee to the US during WWII. Aided by his translator (whose understanding of the English language is based on American Hip Hop music), the designated driver (the translator's grandfather) and their demented dog, the group travels through the Ukraine in search of a town that doesn't seem to exist anymore.
