Review of Everything Is Illuminated (2005) by Sherry K — 18 Aug 2009
To borrow a word from the film, I was very "proximal" to my grandfather before he passed away. Although his family got out of Europe well before the war, I found I could relate a lot to Wood's character and his need to find out about his family's history.
Eugene Hutz completely stole this film - he was laugh out loud funny, but also handled his more serious scenes with grace and vulnerability.
