Review of Everything Is Illuminated (2005) by Wes A — 22 Aug 2009
From beginning to the end, this movie intrigued me. I have never seen a movie with such tone change throughout. It begins as a silly, witty, movie, and ends up as a deep, thoughtful look at history and how it makes us who we are today.
Throughout this whole movie, the ventures that "the Collector" has with his Ukranian tour guides take them to a village that is significant to "the Collector" and the "blind" tour guide.
This movie shows deep connections and friendships, although not in conventional ways. It is truly a great new way of looking at things philosophically. And, the music is amazing as well!
