I will have to say the Holocost references are what took away from the film. The fact that the story only fleshed out one character by the end(grandpa) and one relationship (the grandfather and grandson relationship between the 2 tour guides) made the plot points seem like a gimick.

The suicide that resulted did not do anythingto benifit the storyline.
