Review of Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) by Bertobellamy — 18 Jun 2022
This isn't just a film about the multiverse; this is about the chaotic but funny dynamics of a Chinese-American family; reigniting the spark of love; the very complex relationship between an overprotective mother and her rebellious child; the hardships of being different in a very conservative environment; the dissatisfaction that life brings us at every moment; the realization that we're insignificant in this vast universe, and above all, the acceptance of knowing that you're a mess and coming to terms with it.
'Everything Everywhere All at Once' is funny, exciting, bonkers, and very original. It reminded me a lot of 'The Worst Person in the World;' it doesn't matter if you're the worst being in the multiverse, there'll always be something you're good at. It's just a matter of finding it.
