Review of Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) by Jamess — 13 Jun 2022
Take a bit of the Wachowskis, Terry Gilliam and a sprinkling of Sam Raimi and Edgar Wright, and it gives you an idea of the cinematic journey The Daniels take you on. I was only aware of their previous film Swiss Army Man, and found that to be a delight, and a wonderful showcase for the lead actors.
Michelle Yeoh is a legend, of course, but the revelation and welcome return to film is Kw Huy Quan, of Temple Of Doom and Goonies fame, as her husband. He has to play her partner in various incarnations and it's a joy to watch.
And not to forget James Wong, who shows no sign of slowing down as he approaches a century on this planet. It's rare to find a film that engages the eye, the heart and the mind so successfully.
