Review of Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) by Bobtahar — 26 Mar 2022
Seems like everybody makes a Multiverse movies nowadays. I'm a fan of Michelle Yeoh since Police Story 3... she lately for the past couple of years kinda have a renaissance in her acting career... she is everywhere... movies and TV.
Of all the movies she's in...I think she never play a role that carry a movie... she always part of ensembles. This is the best movie she's ever in that shows how great of an actor she is. She not just have a wide acting range... she have ALL the range.
This is the movie that her agent need to put in the top of her resume as reference when sending to movie studio for casting.
The movie itself kinda amazing... a beautiful chaotic mess, action packed, funny and emotional... I love how Multiverse were explained in the movie and the approach to Multiverse itself is very unique and new. The jump pad where they tap into Multiverse skills are hilarious. The only one negative for me is the 3rd act... somehow the film maker couldn't find a way to neatly wrapped up the conclusion. Since it is a beautiful mess that are chaotic... the 3rd act keep going on and on and it become exhaustive. The runtime is around 2 hours... it could be tighten into 1 hour 45 minutes. HIGHLY... highly recommended... 8/10... the actor who played the husband is the kid in Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom and The Goonies... he done a lot of acting work since then but I always remember him from that 2 movies.
