This flick is only for teen girls with nothing else to watch. The setup was awkward, and the lead character struggle to convey all the necessary emotion. It was definitely a "Read the Book" kind of movie.

However, Anika Noni Rose was incredible as the star's mother, and people need to give this amazing actress more credit for her talents. I wouldn't pay for it, but if it comes out for free on Amazon Prime, give it a go.
