Review of Everything, Everything (2017) by Chris F — 11 Aug 2017
Everything, Everything is another young adult romance with two appealing leads but an absurd plot. Amanda Stenberg and Nick Robinson were good in their roles, especially Stenberg. They both had good chemistry together.
The film starts off as a typical YA romance, which is fine. But then the plot just takes some crazy turns that are not at all realistic. I can suspend some believability, but not as much as the movie wants me to.
The film also has an asinine twist at the end which was just plain stupid. The film also suffers from some cheesy dialogue. The actors try, but the dialogue is so melodramatic. Overall, the film should hit its targeted demographic.
Everyone else probably won't enjoy it. While the two leads are good, they can't make up for an outrageous plot and a bad script.
