Review of Everything, Everything (2017) by Compi24 — 23 May 2017
The teens and other YA fanatics may get one helluva kick out of the emotionally manipulative antics on display in "Everything, Everything," but for the more active moviegoers and other mature crowd members, things might come off as a bit old hat.
But, if I'm being honest, even though the film closely resembles whatever the lovechild would be between "The Fault In Our Stars" and "The Space Between Us," it at least has enough of an earnest drive to it to get me through its 96-minute running time.
The likable leads and occasionally creative stylistic twist also help in rendering this mostly by-the-numbers romantic drama into the ranks of competency, even with the slightly clumsy third act in mind.
Definitely not my cup of tea, but not an ultimately regrettable watch either.
