Review of Everyone's Hero (2006) by Pedro S — 16 May 2010
A nice film. Although it doesn't make a lick of sense in many areas, I couldn't hate it.
It's a good piece of work to add to the tragic CV of Christopher Reeve and his wife, Dana. It deserves a few more points for it's heart wrenching off screen drama, which is not lost in the emotionality of the film. There's a good cast here, who all do well and it's tightly produced in all areas. There's a good bit of nostalgia in the simply plot, which is helped by the Disney-type bumbling villain and the talking bat and ball.
The target audience might be wider than expected as it's a baseball film some baseball nuts might appreciate - it'certainly isn't the worse baseball movie ever made, that's for sure. Easily holds kids of many ages.
