Review of Everyone Says I Love You (1996) by Matthew H — 01 Jul 2007
Woody Allen nearly pulls off his sentimental musical throwback. I admire his scheming and attempt to capture real singing voices instead of professionals, but this isn't his best effort; some scenes sparkle while others rust, and it's not his strongest screenplay.
The last twenty minutes contain most of the best parts. Not a total failure, but we've seen better from him.
