Review of Everyman's War (2009) by Carl C — 02 Sep 2010
This was a well put together movie with the right level of depiction of war. It did not glorify war and showed its horrors. The portrayal of the German soldier in one scene does not show him as the typical evil German from other war movies but gives him a human feel and shows that they did not all want to fight but were scared to say no.
The movie was very moving and made me realise how ordinary the people were on both sides.
This is not a Hollywood retelling reworking of history.
Worth watching.
