Review of Everybody's Fine (2009) by Benedictc — 05 Dec 2009
I can't understand why everyone is being so hard on this film! I really enjoyed it. It is so great to see Robert De Niro in a 'proper' role again after many years of comedy. He subtly bring across the character of Frank seeing his family unravel before him with touching subtlety and understanding.
I thought Same Rockwell and drew Barryomre put in excellent performances as well. The end is a little schmaltzy but, to be honest, that's forgivable. A likable, delightful film which makes you think about your dad more than you probably have for years.
