What just happened? In the entire two hours of that movie no meaningful plot actually occurred. If you quickly Google "basic elements of a story," you get: "A story has five basic but important elements. These five components are: the characters, the setting, the plot, the conflict, and the resolution." No conflict ever occurred.

They set it up with the coach telling them no drinks in the house or girls upstairs. The team instantly broke that rule-repeatedly-but they never got in trouble or anything. Nothing went wrong the entire movie to keep some sort of suspense.
