It's touching and goofy plus it has an orangutan, Beverly D'Angelo and fist fighting. What more could you want from a movie other than chase scenes and a lightly slapstick comedy drama? There are some massive gaffs here especially in the connections during the fight scenes, as you just can't blame ol' Clint for the bad cinematography and editing capturing those moments.

Those points aside there are some things in here that make you laugh. I mean you got an orangutan flipping off bikers with a smile out a car window. It makes me want one just for those tender moments.

If you like "Smokey and the Bandit" productions and humor this is probably up your alley but for the majority of us, this is just too 70's to survive the current climate of cinematography and cynical storytelling.

2.1 stars.
