Review of Every Which Way but Loose (1978) by Simona — 08 Apr 2007
This movie is so horrible it's good. Clyde the Orangatang really has no point to the story except for situational humor but it works. It is comedy, and some scenes are just plain pointless except for to make you smile (Phylo's mom's constant driving tests as well as her with the cops come to mind).
Strangely, the movie still has a moral: sometimes it's best just to leave happy memories of a person alone, enjoy what you have, and remember them fondly rather than have the ideal shattered by incessantly pursuing it.
