Review of Everest (2015) by Gillian M — 07 Oct 2015
I was blown away by this movie!
The acting was brilliant, they did a good job of getting you to care about the ones who mattered and I found that their fates genuinely effected me.
The SFX were spectacular, after this film had finished I genuinely felt like I had climbed Everest with them. Perfect cinematography. Not once did I think anything looked fake, everything was completely believable.
The music score was also brilliant and fitted into the film perfectly.
This movie stressed me out to the max, I kept squirming in my seat as it was just so realistic and half the time I was freaked out at what was playing out in front of my eyes!
I was never bored, the film's run time was ideal, it was refreshing that the film wasn't too long.
I cried, this film is very sad and at the end you can't reassure yourself that it was only a movie because you know that the story was true and that's crushing.
I thought it was that good that I want to see it again already and I came straight home and bought the book 'Into Thin Air'.
