Review of Everest (2015) by David S — 26 Nov 2015
An emotional account of lost adventurers/climbers who perished in an attempt to ascend to the ultimate height that is Mt. Everest. It's a good, heroic take on teamwork, as the group must work together to try and survive the unbearable climate shifts and unexpected flurries of storms that trap these hikers atop the mountain.
The movie makes you strangely want to be there, trying to conquer the ultimate thrill, despite the dangers and the unfortunate demise of our on-screen party. You don't get as emotionally attached as you do in, say, Alive from the early 90's, but it's a story deserving of a telling of these brave men and women who's live were cut short and/or altered by the grand journey to travel the ultimate screenshot.
