Review of Everest (2015) by Yuvraj B — 25 Feb 2016

I started out liking the movie just fine. A lot of reviews complained about slow pace but those must be from the CGI action fanatics who can't sit still without seeing explosions and thrills every 5 minutes.

The pacing of the movie was just fine, it's called a plot buildup. Halfway through the movie I was pretty into it and eagerly waiting to see what finally happens. However....the last 40 minutes of the movie sucks the dopamine right out of you.

There's nothing but death, tragedy and depressing conclusions. Most movies about tragedy at least flashes some sign there is hope to be found and/or something else is triumphant despite the bigger picture but Everest is just - bad news bad news, the end.

I really ended up disliking it.
