Stunning cinematography, gripping circumstances and a brilliant cast should make for an epic film. Unfortunately, whilst there are some good moments, this was an underwhelming experience. The pacing was poor, with a climax which fails to engage the audience emotionally, and you're left feeling as though you should have cared more about the real people who were a part of the journey.
A mediocre film that's visually arresting but otherwise disappointing. 5.
