Review of Everest (2015) by A K — 11 Oct 2015
The first 90 minutes are as beautifully shot as any movie I have seen. The acting is skillful and the lead up to the ending was well paced and well articulated. However, I am just not into movies with depressing endings.
And while I understand this was a true story based on a tragic ending, there are other ways to find redemption and not leave the audience in a depressive state when they leave the theater. Plus there are so many conflicting books and versions of that same day, there is a plethora of work to choose from.
