The real star of 'Everest' is the cinematographer. Eye popping visuals throughout that really makes you feel like you're on the mountain. My biggest problems with the film are the script and characters.
The first 30-40 minutes were kinda hard to follow and uninteresting. Loved the talented cast, but never really cared about any of the characters. Very surprised Jake Gyllenhaal even did this. Pretty disappointing/forgettable film all round, but it's worth it for the visuals alone.
Definitely felt it could have been better though.
