Review of Everest (2015) by Marcus V — 05 Oct 2015
The cinematography is spectacular. That's to be expected from a film titled after such an awe inspiring place.
Jason Clarke plays the lovable australian/British character, which in turn makes the later events much more heartbreaking. You really feel engaged in his character and his true sense of purpose.
Josh Bolin always plays that arrogant Texan and he's such a great actor with that role. Jake Gyllenhall is awesome as the arrogant surfer type character and it's hard to really feel for him. It's interesting how he's the leading actor in all the credits. Did Jason Clarke lose his leading credibility with his role in Terminator: Genisys? Either way, go watch this movie if you want your heart strings to be plucked.
