Atmospheric, dread-filled, hellish horror film. The writing isn't good, the film is derivative, but it's still an influential and notoriously scary cult classic. The set design, special effects, and cinematography are excellent.
It's fast-paced entertainment and easily one of the best sci-fi horror films.
