Review of Event Horizon (1997) by Kenneth B — 30 Oct 2012
Event Horizon is a bit frustrating. For long periods it seems like it is going to give Ridley Scott's Alien a run for its money but the plot gets more and more ludicrous as it progresses. The genius of Scott's film was its simplicity.
We have seen recently with Prometheus how too much ambition can sometime stifle the effect of the film. The same is true for Event Horizon. It still feels like a missed opportunity.
