Review of Evening (1966) by Mark T — 20 Jan 2013
One of my vocal students Jhennipher Cambria introduced me to the Twilight series two years ago. She, like most teenaged girls, was completely absorbed in the series. She would literally sit and read me excerpts of Twilight as I would sit and tune my guitar and prep for lesson.
When I finally saw the film for the first time on DVD in my apartment last year, I was stunned - and if anything, I am not a 13 year old girl. I was struck by the intense sensual and cosmic love shared by the two lead characters and it reminded me that when I love, I love hard, like that.
Kristen Stewart is mezmerizing in the film. She bites her lip and I melt. So much conveyed by so little. Literally counting down the days 'til Full Moon. The Twilight Soundtrack is incredible to boot.
Paramore's "Decode" is hands down one of the best songs of last year. Long live Hayley Williams and her triumphant belt-register.
