This is a brilliant film about a Irish man whose wife leaves him with three children in 1950's Dublin. At the time, Irish law required the children be removed from the home and placed in orphanages. This true story details the struggle of a father to re-gain custody of his children. For fans of history (especially Irish), this is a really wonderful movie. .

**As a bonus for fans of the series "Father Ted," Frank Kelly (Father Jack Hackett) appears in the movie as the children's grandfather.**.
