Critics must have lost their sense of humor and forgotten what it's like to simply go to the movies for enjoyment -- and being able to laugh out loud without being offended by crude, rude, stupid Junior High School humor.
OK, so I'm not a kid, but I go to the movies a lot -- and Morgan Freeman is just great in this playing "God" -- with with and wisdom. Wanda Sykes is a hoot -- and OKAY, so Steve Carell falls down a bit much, but otherwise -- I'll gladly see this one again! I don't go to the movies to criticize, I go to be entertained, and Evan Almighty had the audience (both times I saw it!) enjoying it thoroughly.
