Even though it's not as good as Bruce Almighty because of Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston not returning for a sequel, Evan Almighty still has an interesting idea, a good story, an okay script, fine dialogue, and a great cast that includes Steve Carell as Evan Baxter spinning off his character from Bruce Almighty being a lead instead of a supporting character, Morgan Freeman returning as God, and includes new cast members that feature Lauren Graham as Evan's wife, Jonah Hill and Wanda Sykes as Evan's congress workers, John Goodman as the head of congress, and a special appearance by Molly Shannon, great directing by Tom Shadyac, who returns from Bruce Almighty to direct this spin-off, exciting scenes, fantastic visual effects and a perfect pace and flow, Evan Almighty will prove that if you have the passion and believe in yourself you can in fact change the world.
