Review of Evan Almighty (2007) by Bryanbezter — 25 Apr 2020

Great things about the movie:

1. Great lessons: Act of Random Kindness (ARK).

2. Amazing production design, the ark is solid.

3. Good performances by Steve Carell as Evan Baxter, Morgan Freeman as God, Lauren Graham as Joan Baxter, John Goodman as Congressman Chuck Long. John Michael Higgins and Wanda Sykes also did good job.

4. Great story.

The visual effects for the animals are not good enough.

Debatable holes:

1. Technicalities on how the Baxters can build the ark on time and perfectly.

2. The wave in the city is not large enough for the ark to float.

3. The police does not do anything about the animals when Evan builds the ark.

4. What and how do the animals eat?

We can change the world through an act random kindness (ACT): a simple step or small favor that anyone can do.
