It has stunning and ridiculous performances that are even more surprising when you learn they are based in real Eurovision numbers. The movie is sincere and honest, nothing pretentious which feels refreshing.
Rachel McAdams' acting is on point, balancing Will Ferrel's over the top style of acting. And the well directed musical numbers add to the general enjoyment of the film. The film can seem too ridiculous or stupid at timess but it feels like good quality entertainment overall.
