Review of EuroTrip (2004) by Christie B — 05 Mar 2012
If you want to turn off the TV and have your brain deep-fried or smashed this is the perfect film for you. It relentlessly slaps you with dead carp after dead carp of icky gags, without any of the cleverness, cinematography or characterization that would give those gags even the slightest bit of juice. A lobotomy would help to endure this gross teenage sex comedy... It lacks of wit and charm and the storyline is soooo predictable. I scanned the whole film in 5 minutes and could predict every "joke" that was about to come.
The cast may be appealing, but the acting is seriously bad... I liked Travis Wester as goofy tour-guide-acting Jamie. His character was actually somehow sweet and even a little funny.
I really didn't like this film... I am not a friend of teen sex comedies anyway, so maybe if you're into that stuff "Eurotrip" will work for you. I found it personally very uninspiring and I couldn't connect to its humor.
