Review of Europa Report (2013) by Carlos B — 23 Feb 2014
Probably the best use of the found footage genre, creating a vision of how a space exploration mission to the outer reaches of the solar system would work. The attention to details, both in the set design and in the technical accuracy helps to sell the premise and bring the viewer right into the story.
Unfortunately, some of that attention to detail works against the film, with some aspects (like a privately-financed trip to Europa) stretching credibility a bit far. For fans of space exploration, it's an interesting study in how far we would go to push the bounds of human knowledge.
