A compelling story following a Polish Jewish boy through various parts of the WWII landscape not often visited in more America-centric takes, e.g., through a communist boysâ(TM) school in Russia and into an elite academy for Hitler Youth in training.
Based on a real person's memoirs, and a wonderful story which generalizes into larger insights about the broader events he's surviving.
