Review of Eulogy (2004) by Jan S — 15 Oct 2004
Eulogy is the strangest comedy I've ever witnessed. Not because strange things happen, although there are plenty of those, right down to a flying Grandmother. But because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be laughing. So I tried not to. Didn't work. Ray Romano is my new favorite actor. His noises were funny. His mustache was funny. Although his kids may have been even funnier. Erase that. Hank Azaria was the too good as the actor-turned-weedhead. And it was so good to see Debra Winger being so bad. Maybe I just feel so close to them because they feel like they've been swimming in my gene pool.
"It's only funny until someone gets hurt... and then it's hysterical.".
