Eulogy is centered around the death of a family patriarch. After the death comes the funeral, which is where this story takes place, from the time of his death up until the funeral, where this quite dysfunctional family has to live together for the next few days. The character development was quite good, for a movie that featured so many key players. While Eulogy isn't the funniest film out there, it definitely isn't the worst. I wouldn't go and pay full movie price to see it. But as a rental or to watch on cable. I would say yes it is worth it..

Swimming Upstream.
Swimming upstream is a brilliantly acted, deeply involving and uplifting film from Australia. Based on a true story about a swimmer by the name of Anthony Fingleton. This is a story about large families of poverty, about the tragedies that happen to the family by an alcoholic abusive father, and about the ultimate triumph of the individual soul rising out of such conditions..

Both Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis give outstanding performances. One of the reasons I wanted to watch this is I love Geoffrey Rush. And once again he didn't displease me..
A very well made movie. A must see!.

.
Matthew Broderick stars, in a true story, as a guy who wants to film his old screenplay. He finds a producer for it, played by Alec Baldwin, who is actually an FBI agent setting up a sting with the filming of the picture as a front. Toni Collette is wonderful as a famous actress who wants to star in his film. .

Even thou there was some laughs, and the story itself was great. It just wasn't has good as it could have been. But still good for a rental or seeing it on cable..
