Review of Eternals (2021) by Disobedientlib — 15 Nov 2021

This is an excellent movie. If you look beyond the sheen of the usual Marvel CGI superhero battles and know up front that Jack Kirby's original comic vision could never truly be faithfully translated into a modern movie, you get to an interesting and beautifully rendered character study on what it means to be a human individual with free will.

It also, in my opinion, grapples with questions on how the often complex dynamics of our given or chosen family define us (or not). Well worth a watch and a great addition to the Marvel cinematic universe.
